William Henry Ackert 1 - Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY

Born in 1842 and died in 1918 William Henry served in the Civil war from January 1864 to the end of the war and Honorably Discharged July 1865. The inscription is badly worn but reads: "William H. Ackert Co. H. Of N.Y.R. Art (Company H. of New York Regiment Artillery) March 17, 1842 Died December 13, 1918 AT REST Charlotte A. Horton Beloved Wife of Wm. H. Ackert Died Dec 8, 1890 Aged 42 yrs 3 mos Blessed are those that die in the Lord."
