With yet another Veterans Day memorial service ahead of us, perhaps someone somewhere can help identify these men from the Ellenville, Ulster County area in NY.
Two of these men have been positively identified. 1st row-3rd from left is Isaac Jelliff 143rd NY and directly behind him is Harrison Tice 62 NY "Zouaves" both from Ulster county NY.
It is possible that Harrison Tices' brother Elijah is at bottom front row right. Still verifying.
Also:
3rd from right first row bottom- could be Hiram H. Terwilliger. still researching
If anyone has any information on any of these men please help. We are in the process of identifying the Civil War Veterans from the Ellenville and neighboring area. So far 2 men have been postivevly identified. 3rd from left is Isaac Jelliff and directly behind him is Harrison Tice.
Possible matches are:
Lt. Dwight D. Divine center top row white beard,
far right bottom row- Elijah Tice brother to Harrison.
