Laura, Are we from the same SMITHS? My great-great grandfather is Elias Decker Smith (born 1817). He and his wife Mary E. __________ had seven children: Mary E. (my gr-grandmother who married William A. Fisher); Ellen, Andrew, Adaline, Will, Catherine and John D. We may have no connection whatsover but I have to persue every Smith opportunity. John Hogancamp is buried in the Iowa River Cemetery in Marshall County, Iowa.
